‘What’s poppin?’ is a mockup magazine for 10 Corso Como, featuring my scarf design. The concept for this editorial is inspired by the Pop Art movement that gained popularity in the 1960’s. Pop artists focused on using bright colours, everyday imagery, product packaging, pop music and movies as their imagery. Taking inspiration from the 1960’s wallpapers of Florence Broadhurst and the vibrant colour palette of Australian sculpture artist Troy Emery, this editorial focuses on the use of bold colours and imagery throughout. Pop Art continues to be an influence in the fashion world due to its colour combinations and bold prints, allowing us to interpret clothes as a form of art.
